When Italy had Factories

This event, promoted by the Municipality of Torviscosa, aimed to raise awareness of the area’s documentary heritage and industrial archaeology and to inform public opinion on the importance of safeguarding and valorising it.

Saturday 14th November, 11 am
Institutional meeting: “Prospects for Torviscosa, from industrial upturn to safeguarding historic heritage”

Followed by the opening of the exhibitions:
“When Italy had Factories”, with 350 digital images from the SNIA Historic Photo Archive
“Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in Torre Viscosa”, with documents found at the Beinecke Library at Yale University

As part of the 15th Week of Business Culture, Business on Stage: “Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in Torre Viscosa”
Readings by Giuseppe Bevilacqua, artistic director of Teatro Nuovo Giovanni in Udine, accompanied by the Polivoice female vocal group

Saturday 14th November, 1 pm – 4 pm and Sunday 15th November, 9 am – 4 pm
Special public opening of the industrial plant and guided tour

Saturday 12th December and Sunday 13th December, from 2 pm
Guided tour of the planned community and the CID
